What is calendar feature?
The calendar feature within Employee Garrison is to keep a tab of important events related to employees within the organization. You can add different calendars of events on the calendar eg. team member's birthdays, work anniversaries, leaves, etc. so you will never miss any important events event related to your employees. If needed you can also keep a tab on the data related to employee leave leaves of employees by adding a leave related event. Just apply the relevant filters and get the important data about events every event or leaves.

How to create
events ina calendar?
- Navigate to calendar from left menu. (Refer image above)
- Click on setting icon add calendar at the top right right corner of the calendar.

- Enter the event name, eg. Birthday, Work anniversary, etc.

- Select the event type. (These event types may vary depending on the date related custom profile attributes you have created in Employee Garrison).

- Select the color coding.

- Click on add and then close.

Now you would see the new type of event added to the event list.

Along with date attributes, the system also allows you to add leaves as an event. You can check who are all on leave in the week or month. |
How to delete events in calendar?
- Click on setting icon in the calendar section of the project profile page.

- Click on delete icon of the relevant event you want to delete.

- Then click on close.
How to check any type of events on the calendar?
Do note that, although the calendar is visible to all users, depending on the logged in user, calendar's content will be displayed.
- If a logged in user does not have any direct reports - system displays her own data. Also, she would not see the user drop-down.
- if a logged in user has direct reports - system displays her own data by default along with a users dropdown to select a specific user from her direct reports.
- If a logged in user is admin/super admin - system displays her own data by default along with all users in garrison in the users drop-down.
So, depending on the above situations, one can select a specific event/s and users from the dropdowns and find the relevant data. You would see the left side panel displays the list of all events and leaves along with related information. As well as the same events are datewise displayed on the calendarImage Added
Add a new calendar
- Click on create new (Refer image above).
- Add name of the calendar.
- Pick a color of the calendar.
- Make the calendar public if you want to share it with other users and want them to add to their own calendar.

- Now at the last, there are three tabs called leaves, user profile attribute/s (only date related), and holidays of selected holiday scheme/s. In these tabs, you can select events and add a list of users/teams whose data should be visible on your calendar. With these three options, you can make the following data visible on your calendars -
- Leaves - Leaves of selected users/users from selected teams.

- Attributes - Shows list of events depending on selected attributes like birthday, work anniversary, etc.

- Click on add existing calendar.

- Select the calendar you want to add (you can see calendars only if they are made public by calendar creator) & click on add.

A sales manager has created a team calendar to track leaves, birthdays and work anniversaries of his team members. Other team members need not to create the same calendar again, they can click on add existing and add it to there own calendar. Note that, the manager needs to be made public so others can add it. |
