My profile is a display of personal and professional records associated with a logged in user. My profile will have all the data available according to profile sections, attributes & visibility plus editing access settings done admin/super admin of Employee Garrison. One can navigate to my profile page by simply clicking on my profile in the left navigation menu. 

There are two tab on my profile page

  • User profile
  • History

In above image, you can notice some basic information at the top. Username & profile picture (replicated from Jira user profile), designation, team/s as per Employee Garrison company directory. Below this basic information, you can see a few sections with a lot information about the user.

Default section

In above image, default section shows user's default information. This section shows user's role in the app (user, admin, super admin), designation, name & designation of logged in user's manager (if any), team/s (if any), list of direct reports with their names and designations (if any).

Sections by choice/customized sections

As shown in the image above, all the sections highlighted in green are added by admin/super admins by their choice. Yes, Employee Garrison app allows admins to create their own sections and decide the visibility and editing access as needed. This gives complete flexibility over display of employees records. Read to know How to add, delete or edit a profile sections?. Ability to have customizable section allows admins to have information in place according to your organizational needs. 

Editing user profile sections

  • Default section - When someone wants to edit this default information, that can be managed from company directory.  
  • Editing customized sections - As shown in the image above, if you see a pencil icon in section, then you can edit your profile attributes. If there is no such edit icon that means admin does not allow you to edit your profile sections. Admin can grant permissions to edit profile attributes to different users, eg.  user himself, user's manager, indirect manager, admins, and super admins or all of them together. Contact your admin to get access to edit your profile attributes.

History 

History tab shows you all the history of changes made in profile attributes like designation, manager, teams, Employee Garrison role, User status.

You can notice in the image below, all the entries of profile attribute changes are recorded in this tab. Entries are recorded along with the username who made changes, the field name where are changes are done and the timestamp of when the change was made. You can also see two columns original value & new value that shows the actual change that was made. In a few entries in below image, original value column is blank because that field was empty.

All non-admins user can only view their own profile history on my profile page. Admins and super admins can view every user's profile history.
