Creating objectives at any level has a few simple steps. One can create objectives at any level from the OKRs page. Let us what is the difference between objectives at different levels and how to create them.
There are three levels of objectives -
- Company
- Team
- Individual
Create company level objectives

- Navigate to OKRs page from the main menu
- Click on add objectives button at the top right corner of the page
- Select company objective level. (you should have access to create company level OKRs).
- Select the objective cycle to define the objective duration.
- Define objective title.
- Start and end dates are prepopulated as soon as you select the objective cycle.
- You can make changes in the start and end dates, however, they should fall under the start and end dates of the selected objective cycle.
- Choose the user name who is supposed to be the objective owner.
- By default, logged-in user is selected as an objective owner, you can override that selection and choose any UpRaise user as the owner of the objective.
- Define the visibility of the objective
- For more details read What type of objective visibility options are available?
- Define labels that will help you to classify your objectives.
- Example - New product, skills & development, etc
- Add relevant description about the objective.
- After this, you can create a contributing alignment if your objective is supposed to contribute to other objectives. Read more about objective alignment here.
Create team level objectives

- Select team objective level.
- Select the objective cycle to define the objective duration.
- Define objective title
- Start and end dates are prepopulated as soon as you select the objective cycle.
- You can make changes in the start and end dates, however, they should fall under the start and end dates of the selected objective cycle.
- Select the team for whom you are creating the objective.
- Team lead of the selected team is prepopulated as the owner of the objective.
- You can change this owner to any other UpRaise user.
- Define the visibility of the objective

- Define labels that will help you to classify your objectives.
- Example - New product, skills & development, etc
- Add relevant description about the objective.
- After this, you can create a contributing alignment if your objective is supposed to contribute to other objectives. Read more about objective alignment here.
