When any user in the app request for leaves, sometimes it is necessary to share that leave request with other users/teams. In some cases, every leave request has to be shared with a specific user/s or team/s. That is where the default visibility option plays its role.

Navigations

  • Click on Leaves >> Manage tab >> Leave visibility section

Under this section there is a default visibility options as below

  • All users

  • Selected teams or users

These are the default options always available for users while requesting leaves.

Enforced leave visibility

The toggle in this section lets you to completely turn on or turn off the enforced visibility settings. If it's turned off, users would not see this default visibility set by admin/super admin on leave request pop-up.

If this setting is turned on admin can decide which team/s or user/s should be included or are enforced to know about the leave requests in the organization. Users will not have an option to edit set list of teams or users in enforced visibility setting section.

If leave request is shared with specific users then selected users will receive email notifications. If the leave request is shared with team/s then members of selected team/s would not get an email notification but the leaves are visible in leaves tab as logged-in user/s.

Some cases of using this setting are -

  • In some organizations, it is mandatory to share all leaves with one or more teams. For example - HR team, executive teams, etc.

  • In some organizations, it is mandatory to share all leaves with one or more users. CEO, Head of the departments, etc.
