Error Handling for Imports

Import may fail under the following conditions:

  • Duplicate Template Name: If a template with the same name exists in the destination project.

  • Empty Template Body: If the template body is not populated.

  • Mandatory Fields Missing: If required fields are missing in the template.

  • Invalid Template Level: When importing templates for cross-project screens, it may result in an error if importing templates designated with global or local levels, as these types are unsupported in cross-project screens.

  • Select Export Scope, i.e:

    • Specific project

    • All projects

    • Cross-project export (includes all cross-project templates).

Templates will be exported as a single HTML file. Each template will be separated by a distinct delimiter. Export progress will be logged in the Logs tab with the relevant progress statuses.

Error Handling for Exports

Export may fail under the following conditions:

  • Data Fetch Failure: If the system cannot fetch the data for the specified project.

Logs

The Logs tab records all import and export activities. The logs include:

  • File name, Template name, Project, Action, Triggered by, Date, Status (Success, In Progress, or Failure).

Click on Failure status to understand why did action fail.

Template Visibility

  • If the import is for Cross-project, templates will be displayed in the Cross-Project Templates tab.

Admins can edit, modify, and apply imported templates to their desired rules.
