DC to Cloud migration guide for ARNR app

DC to Cloud migration guide for ARNR app

Atlassian has announced the end-of-life (EOL) for its Data Center (DC) products, aiming for a full transition to cloud. After this announcement, many teams are migrating from Jira DC variants to Cloud. To support this transition, the ARNR app lets you take your existing ARNR data from the DC and move it to the Cloud. This can be done via the JCMA tool provided by Atlassian.

Steps

Export data to a zip file

While migrating Jira using the migration assistant (JCMA), choose the ARNR app to migrate along with others.

Once you are done with the migration, you will see the migration status as INCOMPLETE and progress as “App data partially migrated.”

Locate the export data file

The data will be exported to a zip file available at location: <jira-app-data-dir>/arnr/export/xxxx-xxx-xx-xxxxx.zip

Initiate a support request for the process explained below

  • Once the file is exported, create a support ticket on our service desk (if not done already) so that we can offer our guidance for the ARNR app migration.

  • We will verify your request and share the Dropbox/OneDrive link on the ticket

  • Upload the exported ARNR migration file to the given Dropbox/OneDrive link.

  • Also, share the target site where you want the data to be migrated,

  • Please ensure that the ARNR app is installed on the target cloud site already.

  • We will then verify and import the data manually on your newly created Jira Cloud instance and keep you posted with further updates.
