Employee Garrison Onboarding - Cloud version

Once Employee Garrison is successfully installed on your Jira instance, Jira administrator will see the app in the left navigation as 'Employee Garrison - Get Started'. This option is available to all the Jira administrators until the onboarding is complete. Idea is, any Jira admin - irrespective of whether he has installed Employee Garrison or not, can log in & just complete the setup. Main Employee Garrison menu will be available only after the initial set up is complete.



Step 1

  • Clicking on 'Employee Garrison - Get Started' takes Jira administrator to the page where he needs to select Employee Garrison admin/s. 



Step 2

  • Search for those Jira users whom you want to make Employee Garrison admins or who should initially have access
    • Of course you can just make yourself admin & continue.
  • Once users are added, click on next.

  • System will take you to the company directory page. 

    • If Jira admin has not selected himself as Employee Garrison admin, he'd be logged in as non-admin user only with user facing features. 

 


  • If Jira admin has selected himself as Employee Garrison admin, he'd be logged in as admin of Employee Garrison and would see all administrative features.


  • Now, Employee Garrison admin/s can start setting up the company directory and other sections of the app. 

  • Initially,  Employee Garrison user access option called limited roll out is turned off by default. It can be changed any time once the set up is complete. User access options can be changed from settings in main menu.
