Grade & close or Grade & Carry forward Objectives

How to Grade & close / Grade & carry forward

When the objective reaches due date, objective is automatically turned to Ready for grading status. When objective is in Ready for Grading status Grade & close option appears in the top section of objective detail page.

• Click on Grade & close

• Grade all the KRs with given grading option.

• If you think that objective needs to be worked on in the upcoming/any other cycle then click on Garde & Carry forward otherwise click on Grade & close.

Open

• Click on Save for later when you are not sure about submitting grades.

When objective is carried forward -

• Carry forward option will be available all levels of objectives those are in ready for grading/ ready to close status.

• Status of the old objective will be changed to Carried forward & new objective will be cloned as it is with all the KRs & existing their progress.

• The first action in history of new objective will be Carried forward from Obj-X

• A new objective will start its lifecycle as a normal objective (scheduled/ready/in progress)

• Users with access & permission can grade and carry forward that objective again when the due date is reached.

When objective is closed -

• You cannot edit, update progress on closed objective.

• Confidence score/statuses are removed when objective is in closed status

• Objective cannot be reopened once closed.

Places where grades are displayed?

Once the objective is graded & closed or graded & carried forward, grades appear on respective objective details page. Once the grades are submitted, Grades tab is displayed in Activity section of the objective details page.

Grades are also displayed on OKRs views if grade columns is added. Or you can view these grades on user/team profiles when those objectives are graded.

Grading by multiple users

Whoever can see the objective can grade it. Even if the objective is graded & closed/Graded & carried forward you can grade it if it is visible to you & have grading permissions. Grade option is available in Grade tab of Activity section of objective details page if you have sufficient permissions to grade objectives.
