How do I manage permissions to create & edit company OKRs? (Before v3.9.5)

On the 'OKR settings' page under administration one can find the first tab called 'company OKR settings'. Different attributes on this page can be used to dictate settings at the company OKR level.

Ideally, only a few users should be allowed to create & update company OKRs. This is taken care of by the section highlighted below.

Permissions to manage company OKRs

Company objectives can be added by

By default, Employee Success admin & super admin are given the ability to create company OKRs & it cannot be revoked. In addition, if you need a few more users to be able to create company OKRs - check select users (in edit mode) & then add specific users using their Jira usernames, email or display names. This is how it will look like.

Company objectives can be edited by

Here again, by default Employee Success admin & super admin are given the ability to update company OKRs & it is irrevocable. In addition, creator of the OKRs as well as responsible users can be given the edit access. We recommend having all the 3 of these checked true, so that the user responsible for company OKRs, creator of the OKR, Employee Success admin & super admin - all of them have edit permission. Since the system keeps a log of every change that happens to OKRs, one can always refer to the history to check if any unwanted changes were done along the way.
