Once UpRaise app is successfully installed on your Jira instance, Jira administrator administrators will see the app in the left top navigation as UpRaise- Get Started. This option is available to all the Jira administrators until the onboarding is complete, other users who are not Jira admins won’t be able to see this option. The idea here is, that any Jira admin - irrespective of whether he has they have installed UpRaise app or not, can log in & just complete the setup. The Main UpRaise menu will be available only after the initial setup is complete.

Step 1

  • Clicking on UpRaise - Get Started takes Jira administrator to the page where she needs they need to select UpRaise admin/s.

Step 2

  • Search for those Jira users whom you want to make UpRaise Admins or who should initially have access. 

    • Of course, you can just make yourself admin & continue.

  • Also, select your time zone. 

  • Once users are added, click on next

Get started from here

  • System will take you to the company directory page. 

    • If Jira admin has not selected themself themselves as UpRaise Admin, they'd be logged in as non-admin user only with user-facing features. In Below below image, since Jira admin has selected is also an UpRaise admin role, they can see all tabs in the company directory that will allow them to manage company directory.

  • Now, UpRaise admin/s can start setting up the company directory and other sections of the app. 

  • Initially, UpRaise User-based access option is turned on by default. It can be changed any time once the setup is complete. User access options can be changed from Settings (⚙️ ) >> General settings tab.

Once UpRaise app is installed, all the Jira administrators will be able to see UpRaise - Get Started menu. The idea here is that any Jira admin - irrespective of whether they have installed UpRaise app or not, can log in & just complete the setup. the main Main UpRaise menu will be available only after the initial setup is completed by one of the Jira admins.

Note

Until all the steps in the setup are not complete, users who are not Jira administrators - will not see the UpRaise - Get Started option.

Clicking on UpRaise - Get Started option takes you to the page where you need to add Jira users who are supposed to be UpRaise admins. These are the standard users, who should initially have accessare supposed to manage UpRaise configurations for your instance. Of course, you can just make yourself admin & continue. After the setup is completed, you can always navigate to the company directory to set up more admin users.
