This article is only applicable to the cloud version of ARN app.
For server & data center versions, date format is available from the Jira APIs & thus user input is not needed there.
Jira administrator has the ability to control formats of the following variables in release notes content - release date & current date.
Navigate to 'Configurations' page for Automated Release Notes & open the tab 'Date Format'.
