Introduction
Automated Release Notes is an application that extends features available in Atlassian’s project management tool Jira.

It enhances the 'Release Management' capabilities of Jira by streamlining the last step in the process - which is, informing all stakeholders about contents of different release versions.
While Jira does have a dedicated Release Notes page, it may not be as helpful as is required by some of us.
Automated Release Notes goes one step ahead by letting us set up an instruction to automatically send version release notes when a version is released in Jira (along with other triggers). Its customisable template builder that makes use of JQL like queries can retrieve all the vital attributes of an issue including the custom fields. These release notes can then be automatically distributed via pre-defined channels.
