One of the frequent requests received was 'being able to send two different emails to internal & external stakeholders'. This is achieved via Rules & Templates enhancement. 

Templates

With this enhancement, it is now possible to store multiple email templates for each of the projects. Template creation & edit procedure is similar as before, although users (JIRA users, user groups or direct email addresses) who are supposed to receive that email are no more part of the template.

Clicking on 'Create' template takes user to the default template, which can be modified & saved.

Each template will have a name, subject & body. Email customisation approach remains as before.
