Create project profile

Project profile lets you create a calendar that is specific to the Jira project. On the project profile, you can add your project team, calendar events only related to those team members & upcoming leaves of the project team members.

Open

As shown in the above image there are a few sections that show Jira project-related information.

• Project team

• Upcoming leaves

• Project calendar

Project team

In this section, click on Add option. Add team members who are working on the Jira project. So that project administrator would have a quick list of employees working on the project. Upcoming leaves & Project calendar will show all the information related to the employees added to the Project team.

Open

Clicking on X will remove users from the Project team.

Upcoming leaves

This section shows all the upcoming leaves of the project team. This section has two sections, Out of office today & Upcoming leaves. This makes it easier to find who is on leave for today & upcoming days. It also helps you to distribute the work considering those leaves.  

All you need to do to view leaves in this section is properly set your project team. Whenever someone from that team requests leaves, it gets updated in the project leaves section. 

Project calendar

On this calendar, you can add existing calendars or new calendars.

• Depending on the type of event you can do set up in each of the tabs. 

  • If you are creating leaves calendar, select relevant user status and you will see the data related to team's leaves on a calendar and in the upcoming leaves section

  • If you want to create an event calendar like birthdays, work anniversaries then select attributes tab and then select relevant user status and attributes. For example - Birth dates for birthday calendar or joining date for work anniversary calendar

  • If you want to see the list of holidays, go on holidays tab and select relevant holiday scheme. 

This way you will always have the project team member's data handy on project profiles.
