Tempo timesheets integration
Tempo integration is available only for UpRaise for Employee Garrison and UpRaise People
Integrate your Tempo timesheets app with UpRaise to automatically post worklog for your approved leaves to tempo timesheets.
Enable tempo integration
Step 1 - Genrate API Token in Tempo
Navigate to Tempo >> Settings >> API integration
Click on New token
Add Name and select Access type
If you are choosing Custom Access please make sure that you are selecting below three scopes and permissions below these scopes for proper integration.
Schemes scope
Teams scope
Worklogs scope
Not choosong these scopes may result in some sync issues and data discripancy.
Step 2 - Add token to UpRaise
In UpRaise, navigate to Settings page >> Integrations tab >>
In Tempo Timesheets section paste the API token copied from Tempo >> Click on Connect
Once the connection is successful, your integration is done!
Step -3 Leave type & tempo internal issue mapping
The next step is to map your leave type from UpRaise to the corresponding internal issue from the Tempo app.
For example, if you have a leave type as ‘Casual leave’ in UpRaise and also have an internal issue in Tempo corresponding to ‘Causal leave’ where your employees are adding leave worklog in tempo currently. We will map both these elements through the following steps -
Navigate to Leaves >> Manage in UpRaise
Click on the relevant Leave policy to edit and navigate to the Types tab
Click on the Edit button next to the leave type that you want to map
In the Edit leave type pop-up, search and select the relevant tempo internal issue in the field named Tempo internal issue.
Click on Update to save the mapping
Follow the above steps to update all other leave types to map them with their corresponding tempo internal issues.
This is it. You have successfully done the integration with tempo timesheets.
Important points to remember
UpRaise will post leaves worklog to tempo timesheets for only those leaves that will get approved after the above integration and mapping steps are complete.
For the leaves that are approved prior to the above integration steps, the worklogs will not be posted automatically.
Worklog will be posted to tempo only on approval of leave.
Duration of the worklog will depend on two things -
Type of leave - Full day or half day
Workweek settings
For example - If an employee has availed a half day causal leave on Tuesday and in the workweek settings, total work hours for Tuesday are 8 hours, then UpRaise will post a worklog of 4 hours to Tempo.
How to disable tempo integration?
Navigate to Settings page in your UpRaise app >> Integrations tab
Under the Tempo Timesheets section, click on Disconnect
That’s it! Your connection with Tempo Timesheets will be disabled. The leaves worklog will not be posted by the UpRaise app to Tempo anymore.
