Once your Confluence template/page is ready, it's finally time to push your release notes to Confluence that are compatible with the v2/new Confluence editor!
Create Rule
Navigate to the Rules tab under Automated Release Notes app. One can create the Rule from In-project/Cross-project screens. All the steps are same in terms of how to create Rules. Once you have saved the Rule, notice a new Action showing up called Publish to Confluence (with new editor), and click on it.
Create Action
In case of the action, it is the same as creating an action for any other templates as explained here. A few differentiating fields we have added in this action are below -
Confluence Instance - Select the relevant Confluence instance that has the ARN Helper app and is properly integrated via Token.
Select source template - Here one can use Confluence templates or pages as templates.
Select space - If you have created a Global Confluence template, select Global. If you have created a Local template or want to select a Confluence page as a template, then select the relevant Space where you have created a template/page.
Select a template from confluence - Select the template/page that you have created using ARN helper app macro.
Here we had created a Global template called ‘Demo Helper App Macro’, so we have selected that. Read more
Destination page settings - In this section, set up the destination page where the release notes are supposed to get published.
Skip subsequent actions if this action fails - This option prevents subsequent actions from running if the current action fails.
