Features

If an organization is not using one or more specific features in UpRaise, they can disable those features and enable back when needed.

Once the feature is disabled, it is removed from everywhere in the system along with its association with other modules. Refer above image.

As shown in the below image, one can configure the display name of Leave feature across the system to match the cultural needs e.g. Time Off, Vacations, etc.

Based on the UpRaise app installed on your Jira, the feature list may differ as listed below -

  • UpRaise People - Calendar, Leave, Objectives & KR, Continuous feedback, Forms

  • UpRaise for Employee Success - Objectives & KR, Continuous feedback, Forms

  • UpRaise for Employee Garrison - Calendar, Leave

Project Restrictions

Please note that these settings are not available in UpRaise for Employee Garrison app since they are not needed.

Since UpRaise is tightly integrated with Jira, there are a few places where Jira issues are associated with different UpRaise features. All the organizations may not want this association in some places, this is where the project restrictions come in the picture, important points -

  • Issue detail page has UpRaise glance view which shows list of objectives where that issue is associated as key result.

  • A list of KRs where given Jira issue is added as key result action.

  • Feedback messages & requests can be optionally associated with Jira issues, if there is any feedback associated with Jira issue, it is displayed in the glance view of Jira issue detail page.

All these points of connection can be controlled through the Project Restrictions configuration. By default, all these 3 configurations will be set to default enabled.

As shown in the above image, there are three settings -

Display UpRaise panel on Jira issue detail pages

This setting controls whether UpRaise panel/glance view is available on the issue detail page for given projects. By default it is enabled for all projects, one can add exceptions by selecting projects from select project field to disable it for certain projects. Vice versa, if disabled for all projects option is selected - you can enable it for certain projects.

Jira issues can be associated with continuous feedback

This setting controls whether continuous feedback in UpRaise can be associated with issues in a given Jira project.  By default it is enabled for all projects, one can add exceptions by selecting projects from select project field to disable it for certain projects. Vice versa, if disabled for all projects option is selected - you can enable it for certain projects.

If project restrictions are imposed after there are already a few feedback messages against a project, those feedback messages will remain intact. Only that, the newly created feedback messages cannot be associated with issues in that project.

Jira issues can be associated as key results or as KR actions

This setting controls whether objectives in UpRaise apps can be associated with Jira issues as key results.  By default it is enabled for all projects, one can add exceptions by selecting projects from select project field to disable it for certain projects. Vice versa, if disabled for all projects option is selected - you can enable it for certain projects.

If project restrictions are imposed after there are already a few Jira issues as key results, those KRs will remain intact. Only that, the newly created key results cannot be associated with issues in that project.
